[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
As I never went there, I don't have any photos from the Asian countries devastated by the Tsunami and earthquake.

I chose this picture from Morocco with this lonely and fragile bird in the desert that best expresses for me the sadness, despair and tears I feel and share at every minute with the people, the adults and especially the children ... It is a disaster for Humanity.

I wish I could go there and help but I am not a doctor or a nurse. I gave money to some organisations such as "Médecins sans Frontières" but I feel so powerless.

Below links to some sites to make donations and a link to a blog about Tsunami where a lot of information can be found.

For information about how to help Croix Rouge and Médecins sans frontières and Unicef and also Tsunami Help Blogpost

Thanks for another cool composition!

Financial help is the best you can do Sylvie... there's a huge logistics problem already over there, we'd only make it worse. The NGOs appealed for financial help, not material help either... so they can purchase goods & supplies over there, thus minimizing handling & transportation costs.

Beautiful image by the way. Despite all the troubles over there, I wish you all the best for 2005.

This one doesn't need words. Thank you, Sylvie!

Simple and beautiful. Good composition and tight crop. The bird seems to be sitting just in the 'right' place. Well seen!

i share your feeling Sylvie! and your photo is a nice contribution to the tsunami memorial. belle idée en effet que cette image où l'ont peut imaginer que l'oiseau va devoir réapprendre à voler, mais seul cette fois, sans ses proches pour l'entourer, l'aimer et le protéger et le chérir...alors oui il faut aider avec nos moyens limités...

Important note and smart idea. Photo excelent.

I very much like this photograph of the lonely bird. The detailed scrolling of the archway is very beautiful and you have good lighting for this. It is sharp against the lovely coloured wall in the background. Very nice composition.

Very, very nice shilouete of this little sparrow! :)) Thanks for sharing! :))

HI sylv

Wow! This image doesn't have the same meaning now that I red the text. I think that we, photographers, can help by going out there and showing the world the disasters as they really are. People tent to be more generous facing miseries. Normal people that is.
I set my self to goal to making a book on a cause and selling it with the majority of the profit to help the said cause.

Tkx for sharing. Fantastic Photograph beyond the context.

Ben.

Ben.
