Architectural detail from the Medina in Chaouen.
Chefchaouen nestles between two mountains (the horns) and is full of steep narrow alleys.
It was founded in 1471 as a stronghold against the Portugese.
Chefchaouen is famous for the jellabas made here and the red and white fabrics seen about the Rif.
I was only there for a few hours but intend to go back and spend a few days there just to chill out.
