Travelling in a foreign country without the aid of maps is at best a frustrating experience. This was our second wrong turn and we soon realised that we are now heading to a very desolate place place where, instead of to Swakopmund as the idea was at first :-)
However, these wrong turns sometimes make the entire trip worth it, as it did in this case. This picture is reminiscent of a time long gone, before the invention of cars, in a rural, farm district where people still live as if time did not exist.
I could not help but wonder where were these guys are headed...
TECHNIQUE: Used lowest ISO setting and a quick exposure time as I wanted to freeze the shot. Zoomed in quite a bit. Cropped the image a bit during post-processing and also adjusted the white-balance. |
