Late evening in the Sossusvlei.. Huge sand dunes of the 'Namib Desert' - some rising over 1000' or 300m high from the floor of the vlei (pronounced 'flay' or thereabouts)- catch the last light of evening after a great days photography around this area.
Two intrepid climbers show the size of these dunes, with full size Camelthorn trees in the foreground..

RAW, very little pp other than resize.
1/1000 @f8, ISO640 and 150mm focal length.

Hi David...
Beautiful shot with so nice colors, composition...
Nice scene...
Regards...
Andro

Hi David,
Outstanding photo, the people provide a very good scale indeed, as do the trees. The sand looks so smooth and flawless, looks like the zoom lens came in handy. I like the natural, raw look to this due to the lack of PP work, impressive job.

TFS,
Scott.

Simply marvellous, David!
I have heard a lot about Namibia's assets - The beautiful deserts but I never got an opportunity to visit this beautiful country.

Well, your shot says all very well.
I am speechless!

thanks and regards,
Paras Bhalla

Hi David

This reminds me of Konghirin Els, in the Gobi Desert (800 metres tall & the worlds biggest sandhills). I got 2/3 of the way up, & gave up, as the sun had already set. The men add scale here. I like the simple diagonal lines, & red colour tones. Tfs!

Hello,
that's right, the sense of scale, beautiful view, excellent shot
regards
Ryszard

Hi David,
Wow, what a scene, really special presentation on TrekLens. I like that bothe the trees and the trekking people on the mountain can give us a scale. The Namibian Sand has an outstanding colour showing great contrast to the trees and grassy fiels in the foreground. My favourite of your Namibian shots... TFS!
Greetings,
Kristof

The two strapping lads really make this shot. I love the simplicity of this shot ... just the two dunes, the sky and the trees in the foreground ... great colors too. That sand color is almost unbelievable ... but I DO believe you :)
Fantastic shot David.
Trudy

Wonderful colours. Good lightness. Very good contrast. Amazing sharpness.
Best wishes,

Quite a stunning view, unusual compo to say the least! Gives a very good sense of scale. Terrific with those 2 men standing on the slope.

Hi David,

Very nice composition that really provides a good sense of scale. The huge dunes have wonderful colors and I think it's great that you kept the shot natural with little pp work.
