Great capture! Metering and composition are spot on; your brother is perfectly placed in the frame, the balance of light/dark dune is perfect and the footprints in the otherwise-pristine dune are beautifully laid out.

Dit is ook weer een hele mooie! Vooral de voetstappen zijn een prachtig detail. Misschien een tikkie meer contrast om de verhouding lucht zand wat intensiever te maken. Desalniettemin (mooi scrabblewoord) een prachtige inzending!

Hi Edwin,

This shot is just loaded with color, contrast, shadows, etc... I really like it! Great composition. I did walk up a "small" dune one time in the Outerbanks, NC, U.S.A., and it looks much easier than it actually is to climb! Great photo.

Super mooie foto! De kleuren zijn echt heel mooi helder en het spoor van voetstappen van de man geven een mooi effect in het ongeroerde zand. Het licht en schaduw spel is erg mooi vastgelegd.

Hoi Edwin; ik ben weer eens terug....
Ik ben niet de enige die ziet dat dit mooi is; mijn applaus is laat maar is er wel. Ligt ruim 2 jaar op de plank en komt dan boven. Zulke foto's zijn voor posters en dvd hoezen.
En je weet waarom die goed is he? Ik denk leegte, richting, 1 mens, en het spoor; alles in evenwichtig, niet plomp maar elegant.

Fantastic plaatje.! Schitterende kleuren. Prachtige composition
Zou zelfs mijn vriend Georg jalours op worden. Die is daar geboren en getogen. Zijn vader bracht hem eens in de week naar school met zijn vliegtuig. De buren woonden 50 km verder.
Geen wonder dat hij ook Piloot is geworden. Na 12 jaar voor SAA te hebben gevlogen, vliegt hij nu voor Qatar airlines.
Ik heb van hem vele mooie foto's vanuit de lucht van Namibie gezien.

Geweldig om Sossusvlei weer te zien, ook jij maakt mij weer verlangen naar daar, ik vond Sossus geweldig, prachtige foto trouwens, nog helemaal zonder voetstappen, je was daar mooi op tijd:)) Héél vroeg dus!!!
