Namibia is definitely a place for sand lovers.

Here in the southern parts of Namibia, one finds the Kalahari Desert. It streches over Namibia, Botswana and South Africa. It is an arid desert with red dunes, overgrown with grass and trees. The annual rainfall is higher than the Namib desert, but by no means a forest wetland.

This picture was taken over the top of a dune with very promising rainclouds in the background. They did, however, only promise and did not actually rain.

It was quite dark and I added flash for some foreground detail. It is rather overexposed, but the circumstances were not ideal.

PP involved some shodow adjustment and a slight crop and framing.

Too bad the grass on the front was over exposed. Besides that I think it is a really nice cool picutre with nice colours!
