Bordering Lac Rose, north of Dakar, lies a small village...about 20 huts and 100 inhabitants. This is their chief...his three wives are off planting onions or carving bracelets from the horns of their cattle...ebu or ibu (spelling?) As a symbol of his authority, the chief holds a "scepter" of horns. He's a natural politician with a gift of gab
and cunning that many heads of state share. A big fish in a tiny pond, but ...heh... he ain't complainin'. |
