[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Back from Senegal after two weeks of great holidays :)

This photo has been taken during my visit of the National Park of the "Langue de Barbarie" in the north of the country, near the town of Saint-Louis. To reach the island of birds, we took a pirogue.

Occupying the southern point of the Langue de Barbarie, the estuary of the Senegal river is made up of two small islands and part of the continent. This park established about twenty kilometers south of Saint-Louis has a surface of 2 000 hectares. It is the refuge for many water birds, primarily for the cormorants, brushes, pink flamingos, pelicans, herons and ducks.

Title inspired by the crossing of the Atlantic Ocean by Jean Mermoz from Saint-Louis (Senegal) to Natal (Brazil) on the 12th of May 1930 even if it refers more to Lindbergh, of course but I thought it fits well here ...

You have captured a beautiful moment from nature and the and the presentation in panavision is excellent because it is providing a good sense of breadth. Fine details and natural colors are looking nice. Well done.

Musset aurait pu être à propos aussi: " Lorsque le pelican lassé d'un long voyage" ...
À voir la capture dans le bec du chef de file, il n'aura pas à "...Partager(sic) à ses fils ses entrailles de père..."

The grain of the film makes it interesting already, but the crop adds so much more taste that the photo's impossible to miss.
It looks like a simple subject, but the photo is so the opposite of simple!
