In the streets of Saint-Louis, north of Senegal, in the district of the French embassy, that little boy was trying to stand on his hands and around him the colours of this beautiful city.

Saint-Louis, or Ndar as it is called in Wolof, is the capital of Senegal's Saint-Louis Region. Located in the northwest of Senegal, near the mouth of the Senegal River, and 200 miles north of Senegal's Capital City Dakar, it has a population officially estimated at 176,000 in 2005. Saint-Louis was the capital of the French colony of Senegal from 1673 until independence in 1960. From 1920 to 1957 it also served as capital of the neighboring colony of Mauritania. 4-5 hours by car to get there from Dakar with a taxi-brousse by roads among a landscape of baobabs.

And good framing.

Hi Silvie! I like the colors of the fabrics and the walls. I'd also try a bit of watercolor effect to this.
TFS,
Freddie :)

Hi Silvie,

Excellent capture you've got here! Great colours and love the movement of the fabrics which really gives 'life' to this photo as does the little boy in action. Well seen and good timing! TFS! Greetings from Bianca.

many greetings, inn ;)

Fantastic photo. I see a lot of colures and a lot of life on this photo. Perfect work. Regards

Hello!
What a nice colourful scene from Senegal!
I must say, it almost looks like a postcard.
I wonder if the boy finally managed to stand on his hands or not...
It's a great capture of the slight wind also, through the movement of the clothes hanging to dry.
Cheers :)
Nuné

Bonjour Sylvie,

magnifique photo, les couleurs sont superbes.
L'ambiante est super bien rendue.

Bravo,
Rémi.

Hi Sylvie,
lovely rich colours in the strong sharp contrast characteristic of the African sun.
Nice format/frame :-)

Well done.
Best regards, Daniel

bonjour sylvie,

V.

Yes, colourful indeed, Sylvie. You've managed light and shades impressively, despite it being the middle of the day (it seems). I like the quiet, yet lively atmosphere. TFS! - Cordelia :)

Hi Sylvie,

I just set this image as my computer desktop. The colours, and the life created by the presence of wind is beautiful... reminds me of driving through the streets of SA.

Well done- I like your form of talent. So vibrant. TFS.

Biance.
