[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi

My first real B&W. I have tried some before but never with the intention of going B&W from the start.

I took a photo of this branch and used a layer of white radial blur (something I saw in a magazine this weekend, SA mag. called PIX) and this is the efect I got.

I would love to hear your oppinion on this one.

Clint

salut tres belle photo bonne journée

hi Clint,

great compo and... I still don’t understand what the Idea here, its to sharp or maybe to contras ? I don’t know, but i really like this image, specially the lighting from the sun, its so stranger, like I'm not in the usually earth.

well done.

Hi Clint
The composition and the subject are good - the tree trunk dominates the shot. Given the 'white radial blur' I'm not entirely sure what is photograph and what is effect - the rays of light are generated by the effect??
I suspect the brightness is a little high, I think it would look better if darker, but as an experiment I think it's good - thought provoking!

Hi Clint,

Great composition! I like the details of that tree trunk as it snakes upward. The color (or absence of it) is very surreal, looks like you captured a very enchanted place :) TFS

Hi there!
Experimental indeed! Very interesting effect. Looks like that scene in "Lord of the Rings" where Frodo and them have to get off the road quick to avoid the Nazgul. Remember?
Well done!

Powerful contrast in the picture with strong colours. I really love the composition
