[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi

I was very lucky to get so close to this dove, but as soon as my shutter went, this dove flew as if it was a gun shot. So I only had to one chance.

I did clear the back ground.

Thank you to all my TL friends who are viewing and helping me to become a beter photographer.

Cheers
Clint

Hi Clint!
This is really a nice portrait.
I like your photo.
Well done!

Patrick

Hi Clint
Cute! Very endearing shot, you've turned a common bird into something likeable, and that in itself is an art.
Fantastic sharpness and good metering in very difficult conditions.
Congratulations!

He's that close, almost pecking at your lens.
Good focus and sharpness. Nicely framed with the view instantly drawn to the face and eyes. Good capture considering they are not an easy subject to photograph still.

Dear Clint,
this one is great! I love the minimalistic composition and the "tilted" pose adds to the effect :) Big bird is watching you! Thanks for sharing. Sometimes we just click and sometimes we have to work to get a good click. This was definetaly work... Yours, Jan

Clint,
I would approach this shot on motor drive. I think you could have gotten probably 4 or 5 photos like this. I like the eye contact and the sharpness of the eys with the catch-light. The unsual composition with the head coming in diagonally is nice too.
Maybe the DOF was too shallow, depending on your goals but this is a pretty decent shot.
Scott
