[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at Bayworld in Port Elizabeth. Bayworld is where they have dolphin shows as well as a seal and this bird. I have only recently relocated so I have not unpacked my bird book yet. I would be grateful if anyone can tell me what bird this is.

The sun was rather harsh that day. This was taken with my 400mm lens :-) no tripod and no crop.

I will be posting pics of the dolphins within the next few days.

Fantastically clear shot of this Gannet Rute! I can almost hear him squawking through my screen, lol. Brilliant exposure and well captured splash from the water. Love the tone of the water too. A nice photo to look at.

As I mentioned in my first sentence, the bird is a Gannet. I got a whole rock covered in them in my gallery (Gannet Rock). They're very easy to overexpose but you've metered it well. Well seen.

TFS,
Scott.

Hi Rute
Excellent composition - the bird looks like it's about to lever itself out of the water with its wings.
Cheers
Carl
