[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Last month I did the unthinkable. I went on a hiking trail for 3 days with a very good friend of mine.

The trail is called: "The Dolphin Trail".

"The trail covers a distance of 17 Km starting in the unrivalled beauty of the Tsitsikamma National Park at Storms River Mouth, and winds its way eastwards through natural fynbos and pristine indigenous forest, over rugged rocks at the waters edge, to end on the banks of the Sandrift River at The Fernery.

Hikers have stunning views of the rugged Tsitsikamma coastline, and the chances of spotting whales, dolphins and the occasional otter are good. On route, many birds including the gorgeous Knysna Loerie can be heard and spotted while hiking through the forest, and the endangered Oystercatcher is often to be seen on the shoreline."

We spotted 2 dolphins and 1 whale but they were too far out in the sea.

We started off at the Tsitsikamma National Park. We arrived there the Sunday afternoon, relaxed, took a few photos, had dinner and relaxed some more. The following morning (Monday) we had to meet our guide at 08h30 for breakfast. On the way, I took some photos first.

The day was pretty hazy with a slight wind.

Hi Rute,
Awesome shot, great tones and colours with this one - nice use of the early morning sun. I see you guys have got the Aloe Vera plants springing up over there too. Good timing to capture the splashing wave against the rock! The fast shutter speed has frozen it well. The only thing I'd suggest here is to straighten the horizon, it's a tiny but crooked ;). And maybe increase the brightness in the left side of the FG. It is a very pleasant and peaceful scene however, very informative note too. Well done.

TFS,
Scott.
