This species is small to very small, and the sexes are alike. A restless species, it moves through the foliage, gleaning insects from branches and flying low from bush to bush. Voice sharp Tjeriktiktik; rich melodious song. In Afrikaans it's called the "Bosveld Tjeriktik", cause the call just sounds like this.
