Hi Mates
This was so funny, when I looked at the bird through my camera, that I almost missed the shot.
This photo was taken in October, when the breeding season started. The male and female Weaver look alike in not breeding colors, but when the right time comes, the male transform in very colorful feathers.
This one was still wearing some of it's winter feathers. I can tell you, that the females did like him very much. This is a Southern red Bishop male!

This is a GREAT picture. I'm amazed by this sharpness, details, exposure and composition. What a strange looking fellow and how colorful he is! He seems really small if I judge by the size of this grass he's standing on... You caught a beautiful light in its eye. Well done!
