Thanks to all of you, who commented on the other owl photo.
I did crop it like this one, before I posted it, for the simple reason to show the viewer the perch, and how difficult it is to spot the fellow in the late afternoon sun.You must remember, that one's eye cannot get the owl as close as a huge lens, and the owl looked just like another branch on the fallen tree.I knew, when I hit the submit button, that there will be a lot of crit on the cropping of the previous photo.
Thanks again, and this one is the one that I already made a huge print of.

This is an amazing shot! Excellent lighting and detail. Wonderful blurred background. I think it will look nicer if the bottom blurred part is cropped out. Very well done! ed
Great expression! Nice sharpness and the diagonal line of the bark going across the photo leads the eye to the owl! Amazing detial and lucky shot! I like this cropping better than the previous :)
