[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
First this photograph was taken during the day, not at night. I just happened to catch this beetle walking on an Iris and thought it would make a great macro for TL, however he wasn't as focussed as I would have hoped for, so in order to salvage this picture I did some experiments with my illumination filters and this is what I came up with. If more info is required on the illumination filter I will gladly give it.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I did in making it.

This is just excellent ! good lighting, my only concern would be about the bug which is a bit out of focus ! nice picture anyway

I like it , Mark.

Good colors tones.

Well done

Another fine macro from you Mark. Its a shame about the blur on the beetle but its not our fault they move and dont pose!
Nice subtle shades and texture of the petals.
Very well done!

it seems the focus was made on the petal more than the bug but it does look very nice like that too;-)

I made a workshop on your shot here. check it out, the beetle was a little soft but I tried my best on it. Since you asked me before to make a couple WS on your shots remember, I like it I agree with andy brook they move nothing you can do.

I love the colour range of this photo, pinkish and greyish are nice together, but the focus was not rightly set. But this concept is so traditional. Finally, the bug was so vital, and was jumping on a fresh rosy flower. So it is more a film, than a still image on a classical meaning for me... or not classical :-)

I like the effects you did a lot, but the bug's lack of focus is a little bothersome.
