Another Burger

Another try at the burger before we ate it... munch... munch...
For this shot I changed the angle of light slightly and used a polarised filter to remove the reflections on the plate. It also allowed me to use a larger apperture and reduce the DOF. For the BG I used a piece of black crushed velvit.
What message do I portray in this photo? Is it good enough to be used for advertising purposes for a burger company? Don't be shy with your comments, that's why I joined - to learn. You see - I want to become a very good (far above average) all-rounder photographer.

This one is much better than the previous one... There is much less negative space which has nothing to do with the burger. However, the only reason why I buy Wackies (the burger for the internationals) is because I know how it tastes. I would cut it neatly so that the layers can be properly seen. I must also be sliced like a cake to create the impression that is is big and can be shared by many... even thought it is only 3 bites big.

I think they use fakes in the advertising shots, they normally appear too perfect. No stray seed on the plate, no sauce smearing onto the top bun, all dimensions perfect (patty even in thickness throughout) and so we can go on. But this is reality, dam I'm hungry!
Cheers
Carlo
The technical quality is fine. Though if you ask me if I will buy this from an ad photo. I doubt. It needs colour. I want to see the tomato, lettuce, maybe pineapple etc. But that is me it might work perfect for somebody else. My kids will say yes. Anything that resembles a hamburger or a pizza is good enough for them.
