Venus Eclipse
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This photo was taken from the mountains on the west side of Stellenbosch. We were waiting for the appearance of comet McNaught when all of a sudden Venus appeared from behind the moon. The mountain you see way back is the foothills of table mountain. |

Hi Gert
Wow, ek het probeer om daai komeet te sien van Oos Londen af en al wat ek kon sien was wolke.
Goed gedoen met Venus en die effek van die 1/4 maan.
Well done on an excellent moment captured.

Magnifique photo d' astronomie, cadrage et exposition parfaite.
Hello Gert....
Beauuuuuuutiful photo! Really lovely line of trees on the bottom and the angle of the mountains really adds some contrast. Of course the moon and Venus itself, stunning! Really really amazing shot, makes me wish I had been there myself to see that view. Thanks so much for posting this image. Bravo!

I realy love this one Gert!!
I'm always looking out for Venus, I have been since I was a little girl!
I'm amazed by the fact that your moon is so big!
I realy must come to SA some day if only to see this with my own eyes (oh.. and the elephants of course)
Great caputre, lovely light and composition.
Cheers!
