Hi Niel,
I agree with your words...this photo is very striking through it's simplicity and does have a very arty look! Good compo too. Well done, cheers! Bianca

Hey Doc!
Quite an interesting picture. The picture tends to lead the eye. Works quite, however I would have liked a point of interest somewhere. Perhaps something with nice bright colour to really catch the eye. Otherwise this looks great - nice one!

Hi Niel,
That must have been quite relaxing there in Mpumalanga. Yes indeed I love the composition and the added note - it so nice to know the story behind the picture.
I loved Eastern Transvaal - all those names of the villages will probably disappear.
About Pretoria, all very confusing, does everyone already call that Tshwane (?).
Great to travel a bit with you to Dullstroom.

I think if I like to enhance the 'art' feeling of this shot, I would go to B/W

I would love to see this in b/w. I like the view and the compo a lot.

An art shot definitely. A yin yang of textures - the solid sticks in the water balanced by the wetness in the soil. Good S-curve leading into the shot. Crisp detail throughout. Good one doc!!

Halo,
LOve your composition. I think it would look nicer in B&W though.

This photo is stunning, the balance is great and the lighting doesn't affect the fell of the photo. well done!
