[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In the 17th century the language spoken in the Netherlands and South Africa was the same, but as time went by this language evolved in different ways, and that is why people in South Africa think it's funny if they hear us speak dutch and we think it sounds funny and nice when we hear suidafrikaans being spoken.
In de zeventiende eeuw was er geen verschil tussen hoe men in Zuid-Afrika (Kaapstad) sprak en hoe men in Nederland sprak, echter door de eeuwen heen heeft de taal zich in beide landen op een verschillende manier ontwikkeld. Daarom moet men in Zuid-Afrika lachen als men ons Nederlands hoort spreken en omgekeerd.

Een paar aardige voorbeelden:
Giraffe - kameelperd
kameleon - verkleurmannetjie
barbecue - braaihoek
vlinder - skoenlapper - butterfly
computer - rekenaar
e-mail - e-pos
metro - moltrein
lift - hijsbakkie
rock-'n-roll band - rok-en-pluk orke
scooter - bromponie
viaduct - verkeerslicht
radiostation - uitzaaistatie
wegpiraat - padvark.

En dat lijkt me een goede afsluiting voor vandaag.
Ik gedraag me natuurlijk altijd als een "heer in het verkeer" ....

Focal Length on maximum and no tripod.

It was brought to my attention by JoopSchotsman that the bright band in the background was getting the attention away from the Klipdassies - however that is what we call a sea-arm (?) water then, and on the rocks on the other side there is a huge colony of birds.

Critiques [Translate]

Good morning my friend, Well these little darlings are so cute. Are they some kind of Rodent I have never seen such things. This is one of the things that makes treklens such fun as i get to see images of things from all over the world.

DOF perfect with lovely colours and absolurely spot on framing as ever.

het lijken wel berg marmotten zoals ik ze vaak in de Alpen heb gezien.
Trouwens je hebt ze mooi weergegeven in een mooie beeldvulling.

Alleen heb je achter die rechter-klipdassie wat lopen poetsen ...... toch? Die veeg leidt de aandacht een beetje af.

Ha, je klipdassies, daar zijn ze dan en ik vind ze echt superleuk. Ze zien er grappig en schattig uit en je hebt ze ook erg mooi op de foto gezet. Ze doen me ook wel denken aan mijn prairiehondjes, ook al is het een heel andere soort diertje. Ik ben gewoon gek op dat soort aaibare diertjes, maar dat wist je al :-)

I love anything cute and fuzzy!!

These are very interesting little creatures!! I have never seen anything like them. They almost look like prairie dogs, or beavers. Great details and nice vibrant colors.

Très jolie capture mais je trouve qu'il n'y a pas assez de profondeur de champ, un peu trop de flou à gauche, normalement avec la stabilisation on peut descendre à des viteses plus lentes.
