This is the lighthouse at Port Shepstone, Natal.

It's 102 years old, 8 meters tall and made from cast iron. It flashes once every 6 seconds, with a 1 130 000 candle power light that can be seen from 24 sea miles away !

A lighthouse is not the first thing I would think of to turn in B&W, but this ons looks fantastic.

The red of the light house seems to come out quite black in processing. Nice composition with the light peeping through the window.
