On ressent bien cet effet de masse.
Tous ces oiseaux tourné du même côté (enfin presque) donne un visuel de profondeur et la luminosité réflèchie est très agréable.

Hi Dirk,
Superb capture excellent brightness and contrast unless the small f-stop (f/3.0) a nice sharp picture with fine DOF, even the last rows of Gannets are reasonably sharp. Excellent presentation with the black frame.

Great capture - reminds me of an M C Escher picture where the pattern of shapes repeats, and the gap between the birds becomes bird shaped.
Beautiful colours and sharp details, offset nicely by the simple border.

Hello Dirk!

I love this one. What a spectacular view , with virtually all of them looking up in the sky . They look that a choral !

Like you we have sanctuary in our area. You may visit previous images posted by me , and fellow members like , Beger , lucbus .

They are amazing birds. And indeed they are really fun to watch. They are landing almost like an Harrier, but less elegantly, as they seem to drop more than land gently.
