[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Apparently the male bird makes a nest for the female (who sits around doing nothing) and if she doesn't like it when he's done (which takes a long time) then she pulls the whole thing apart and he can start again...
I took this from a distance of about 30-35 meters, hope you like it!

I wonder if the male "feels" anything when she pulls it apart. It's probably silly to project human emotions onto birds, but there has to be some motivation for him to succeed ... does he feel hope as he nears completion, and then utter disappointment and dejection as she pulls it apart - and finally elation as it is finished to her satisfaction?

Anyway. A nice succession of shots, the uppermost two especially - very nice DOF and good metering, saturation, composition.

Good work

Hello Petra,
my husband is terrible at d.I.Y so this must be us in a bird life! Interesting trio but would be better a little sharper.

LOL

Groetjes

Jan

Amazing shot, Petra!
I like the way you've sequenced the events and then provided a nice note to follow. The colours are gorgeous and the presentation is excellent. Great work!

Hi Petra,

Very beautiful compilation of, what i believe to be, a weaver building a shelter. Like the colours, sharpness and the perfect DOF. Tells a story by itself. Well seen and shot!

Regards,

Edwin
