[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been trying out the Canon's digital photo professional software for RAW conversion since viewing positive reactions on the net about the software.
This is one of my older shots of 2 ground squirrels in Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park having breakfast i presume.
By comparison between my old workflow of RAW files and the above mentioned software I find DPP colours to be better than i got from CS3.

RAW
Conversion in DPP, adjusted exposure, contrast and sharpness.
Converted to TIFF
Conversion in CS3 in camera RAW, adjusted clarity, blacks, saturation.
Resized and converted to JPEG
Sharpened
Framed

Hello Edwin.
Congratulation with you new Camera. I just saw you uploads here for the first time. Geart series to are doing.
I was in South Africa in 2006 too. Lovely and fascinating country it is.
This is a lovely picture too. Good work on it.

Hoi Edwin,
Prachtige vangst man! Excellent capture of these little fellahs. I'm happy to see you enclosed the full tail of the right squirrel (often seen photographer "forgot" it's a part of the animal. Well sharpness and lighting are perfect only a shame of the blurred little disturbing twig in the foreground; but you can't have it all :-)
Hans

Beautiful squirrels and a nice composition. The technicalities are beyond my experience but I can appreciate a good photo when I see it:-) I have a lot more to learn...

Hi Edwin,
Well the colors here certainly are superb! Beautiful detail!!! Composition and poses are awesome. I love the little one in front...looks asthough it's resting on it's heels and the tail taking the weight:)) This is truly a VERY NICE SHOT!!
