[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A shot of my daughter doing a charity modelling event last year, taken with my small, old Fuji camera. The camera has since broken, and been replaced with my small digital - much better. I've cloned out some distracting pipes that were against the wall, then had to run through NI. I was surprised at the amount of noise in this non-digital shot. I liked the simplicity of the shot, so decided to post. The headdress was adorned with porcupine quills, and the clothing was from a local african clothes store (particularly the skirt).

Hope you like it... (PS - in a previous shot, she had blonde hair... She likes to dye it!)

This is a fine composition Judy. As you say, there is some noise in the pic and i guesss it does effect the over all aperance but it doenst bother me really. What i like are the strong horizontal lines and also how you have repited the pattern of the square in your frame. I also like the soft colours and the balance in the picture. Well done Judy.

I too like the simplicity of the shot, Judy. The balance between the small lemon tree and your daughter. She standing in a relaxed posture with her right foot out, against the earth colored wall, wearing a remarkable facial and hair decoration. I see some noise, but what I find intriguing is the glow around edges, especially the lemon tree. It's not so obvious and it's not bothering me, but it's there... If I understand correct this is a scanned shot - if so and anyhow - very well done!

very good composition Judy..I like the noise (or grain..I like it) in this picture..lemon tree on one corner, her headdress just touching the black frame behind her is very lovely..
btw. she looks great in black hair..

Oh, Beautiful model and beautiful composition, well done!

This is really a very nice shot Judy, I particularly like the textures of the walls here, the grain really enhances the whole image quite nicely.
The composition is excellent with the little tree to the left, as well as your daughter standing in the beige rectangular area. Actually the more I look at the image, the more African it feels to me. ;o)
All I can say is well done and good work.

Love the simple compostion and including the small tree makes all the difference in making it dynamic. Nice image.

Yes this shot IS good in its simplicity, the parallel and perpendicular lines make a great backdrop for the picture :-)
