On our visit to Marloth Park the beginning of May 08, a herd of zebra's came past our chalet. Thou they are wild, we were still able to feed them from our hands.
This zebra was about 1m (40") from me. |

A bit unusual, but definitely a keeper. Tightly cropping makes the composition completely abstract, and makes the viewer study it closely. In a sense, it might have worked better to have shot a different part of the body; the eye breaks up the flow of the lines.
Hi Allen,
Nice idea, feeding zebras from your hand. :-)
That's pretty close but the way. No need for a macro lense if they get thát close. I might have gone perhaps for a wider depth of focus, but I like this as well.
Greetings! Dennis

WOW what a neat experience! A wonderful close-up shot of this zebra and the editing is excellent - it looks like Selective Colour used on the eye.
Perfect emphasis on the eye in stead of the stripes that is the usually a focus point in zebra photos. The placement of the eye is good since "breaking up " the flow of the lines actually focus the attention on the perfect detail in the eye.

Dear allen, this is a very good picture from you. Zebra's any part is enough for a photograph. Congratulations.

Allen,
I really like this graphic representation of a zebra. The contrasting stripes provide so much context that not much more than this is really needed. Great work!
