Stepping barefoot into one of these will cause serious pain! It was recorded plenty times that it actually went right through somebodys foot...ouch!

Allen,

I like the idea here, but the image doesn't really convey the danger of the thorns. You have some good depth with some pretty good bokeh, but none of the thorns that you have focused on are complete. It's hard to see the danger when we don't see the points.

That said, Ouch is right!

A good photo so typical of the thron trees that I like so much. For this image I think sharper detail on the thorns would have been nice. You seem to have the detail on the tiny leaves (also good) in stead of on the thorns which you picked for your title.
