Another scavenger hunt entry, for the "single light source" category.

This is a "monkey orange", the fruit of Strychnos spinosa, and this particular one had even been chewed on by monkeys.

Minor post processing: cropped, tidied up the background where necessary, resized, sharpened. Unfortunately the focus was not very crisp, probably partly because of the low light.

Very nice entry for the scav hunt with a very good management of the light. The colors arevery good and I like the shadow and the texture of that orange. Very well done.

Good placement of the subject...lets the shadow create an impact. Minimal colour usage does work well here. Neat work.

Wonderful composition, Kate!

I liked the yellowish-brownish colour palette contrasting with black background and shadow. Well done!! Alla.

Very nice still life composition. Simple but very effective. The colours are lovely and I particularly like the long shadow. It was a good choice to have the orange on a wood surface, it blends in nicely with the other colours. Very good addition to the scavenger hunt.
