[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
For the scavenger hunt "Moving water" category.

I've been struggling with this category, and this was my third attempt, different localities, different kinds of photos. This one was taken using a slow shutter speed to get the "silky" effect. I wasn't very happy with the original, and adjusted contrast, then converted to black and white, which perhaps works a bit better.

I got a very different version of this one at almost the same time, slightly different viewpoint, using a much faster shutter speed, which I will post tomorrow - I think it is a much better photo than this one!

Wonderful photo, I like the edginess of the BW conversion, playing with water is always difficult. Trust me on that one....well done please keep up the great work and thanks for sharing...james

Hi Kate.
I think that the black and white works perfectly on this picture because it emphasises all the mood and all the intensity of the water!
Congratulations.
Luci

I like this BW image, it works really well, you have captured the movement in the image really well!
