Sea shells, from the Indian Ocean, gathered on the beach in Mozambique. These were photographed placed on a white sheet of paper, using my old camera (Panasonic DC2090 digital camera).
Post processing: photoshop solarise filter, feathered edges, adjustment of brightness and contrast. |

Very creative! I like what you've done with your post processing, and the composition is well done also. They almost look like they're made of mother of pearl. Nice job!

Hi Kate,
Nice photo, interesting setting and composition, skillful post processing. Well done.
I like this. Very plain with lots of subtle contrasts between the blues and pinks. the texture of the shells are very prominent. It feels as if I can touch them. Viewing the thumbnail I wondered what a frame around would look like. But I like the feathered edges. A frame would have made it harder. I like the softness. Very nice.

I love these, Kate.
The PP gives it such a magical feel. The solarisation filter works so well here.

This is a very beautiful shell. And you had the guts to solarise it and give it a new one.
This turned out well. Good work
