The rainy season has started here, often with storms building up in the late afternoon/early evening. This is also the time of year when last season's grass is burnt off - as seen on the distant hillside in the photo.

Photo taken using "night" setting on the camera (4 to 8 second exposure).

Minimal post processing - slight increase in contrast, resized, sharpened.

Nice shot, and good composition. We are supposed to have rain here now, but the our rainy season is late and I so want to photograph lightning, hence I am envious.

I guess you been as lucky as I was once with my lightning picture. although the action is all on one side of the pic it's still prety well balanced becouse of the clouds.
