For the scavenger hunt "Moving water" category.
I've been struggling with this category, and this was my third attempt, different localities, different kinds of photos. This one was taken using a slow shutter speed to get the "silky" effect. I wasn't very happy with the original, and adjusted contrast, then converted to black and white, which perhaps works a bit better.
I got a very different version of this one at almost the same time, slightly different viewpoint, using a much faster shutter speed, which I will post tomorrow - I think it is a much better photo than this one! |

Wonderful photo, I like the edginess of the BW conversion, playing with water is always difficult. Trust me on that one....well done please keep up the great work and thanks for sharing...james

I think that the black and white works perfectly on this picture because it emphasises all the mood and all the intensity of the water!
