[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A spider with its prey.

Minor post processing: slight adjustment of brightness/contrast of the butterfly, which was in shade, making it much darker than the rest of the picture, which was in full sun. Cropped, resized, sharpened, framed.

Gretings,

Hi Kate,
This is amazing! It took me a while to realise what was actually happening on the photograph! No wonder the butterfly didn't see it! Great p.o.v., colours and detail. Did it take you a long time to capture this or was it one of those rare chances of luck?
Anyway, well spottted!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Aaah what a meanie! Poor butterfly.

Great moment, and as said: well spotted. :)

Hi Kate:
Never seen that color of spider...good details and exposures, very well done!
David

O my god - that's dramatic - what a moment!
Poor butterfly, catched by a crab-spider!
You captured a horror-moment, very well done, Kate. I like to see shots of insects in nature, always interesting to go out and find beautiful - and sometimes sad things.
Thanks and greetings
