Grasshopper on an aloe
24 Oct 05
My eye has been drawn the shapes and colours of the aloe leaves, but getting this to work in a photo hasn't been so easy. This time, by chance there were some grasshoppers on the aloe, something for the eye to focus on.

Post processing: cropped, slight adjustment of brightness/contrast, resized, sharpened, framed.

(Apologies for my sporadic appearance recently, I've been having phone troubles.)

Very cool composition. I like the placement of the grasshopper. Lots of nice lines and textures. Very nice. JP

Hi Kate
Excellent. Good textures, good detail and mainly
a aloe vera that much I appreciate with
boiled must.

Great picture. Those edgy leaves and this little fellow on the foreground forms a nice composition. The 'whirlpool' perspective of the leaves on the left gives a dynamic touch to the whole. Anyway it's been all said before, guess I fully agree with the comments above.

Very interesting image! Creative comp. and very well seen. This GH, so tiny in this huge plant...

Great one Kate!

Take care, Stefania :))

Great Macro Kate! The environment of Aloe leaves and the 'micro-eco-system' of this grasshopper is fantastic! Your all gallery is very nice:) I'll come back for sure!
