The same Masai vilage as the previous post.

The Masai are one of the 120+ tribes living peacefully in Tanzania. They are one of the few tribes that are still living their old tribal live as nomads. Life is getting more difficult for them because of regulations to protect wild parks. The government encourages them to stay more in one place, so they can build schools for them. In stead of asking money from tourists allong the roads they agreed to have vilages where tourists pay a fixed amount to the chief for a look inside the vilage. The money is then used to help all the Masai tribes.

They always have a stick with them. They use it to take care of the cattle, for defence from wild animals and I have also seen them using the stick to jump over a hole or a small stream. The guy in the shot was leaning on his stick in a traditional pose.

Hi Perdo,

A great portrait of this Masai member! I like the traditional pose he has taken and the way the sun light enhances the details and colours of his outfit and the surroundings.
Very well done!

Constantinos

Good pose Pedro although not the traditional one, that would have him with one foot propped on the calf of the other leg. Fine colour and detail. TFS,
David
Many thanks for your comment on

Fog there was and a smoke haze, the sun in the position it was creates that 'pink look'. The time I get out and about if you have a look right back to my first postings you will notice the tinge. Thanks for the workshop anyway but my version is how it was.

wonderful strong colors again, great work!

Olà Pedro,
Great capture of this man, vivid colours and beautiful light !
Very informative note.
Lucky you that you could so easily take a picture of him. In Dakar, I had some difficulties. People didn't easily agree.

The overall question - tourism, benefit or curse ? ;o).
Nice pose you have him in, Pedro.
I wonder about the DoF, did you alter anything in PP ?
I just notice that the haystack on the left is in focus while the part on the right is entirely out...
TFS.

Hallo Pedro, prachtige foto, fantastische kleuren, moet niet gemakkelijk geweest zijn met de zon !
