[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The African Fish Eagle is a large bird, and the female is larger than the males. Males usually have a wingspan of about 2 m (6 feet), while females have wingspans of more than 2.4 m (8 feet). They are very distinctive in appearance with a mostly brown body and large, powerful, black wings. The head, breast, and tail of African Fish Eagles are snow white and the hook-shaped beak is mostly yellow with a black tip.

This pair of Fish Eagles we were lucky to observe in Lake Manyara National Park two days during the late afternoon. One went to fishing and then came back to the tree where day use to sit down and called for another which came afterward. Spectacular view to observe their flying.

Hi Lanka, splendid eagle in great pose, wonderful sharp composition, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Lenka
I think there is a message about the size of the male and female eagle. As I recall she eats first also. Great image, perfect shot with the 400mm. Did you have to crop at all?

Dan

Superb capture - great details and a stunning composition, capturing the bird with the wings spread like this really brings home how majestic it is.
Thanks for sharing
