Good low POV. The slanting BG makes for an interesting composition. The red on the head scarf stands out amazingly.
I wonder what the dish would be called... Sandy Fish, Crispy Chunk, Sun Baked Mudfish?...
Cheers

Hi David,
Another documentation capture of this awkward fish market.
A nice display of fish scattered on the floor!
(Very higenic, indeed)!!!
Nice lighting and accurate sharpness especially of the well built woman sitting demonstrating and cutting her fish!
A good presentation.
Well done,
Francis Xavier

Hi David,
Nice shot of daily life. The food safety authority would have a heart attack if they saw this! LOL. Great exposure and clarity, well focused too. Looking forward to the EXIF details on this one. Well captured.
TFS,
Scott.

hello david
another interesting shot from the market
sharp and colourful
good light here
i feel if we crop the headroom uptill the tip of her scarf (a little above) it will balance the bottom and we can get rid of the distraction behind (a personal openion).
regards

Totally better than yesterday one!
Well yesterday was better for colours and situation captured but , for my opinion you would have to cut and take only a part of it, but here situation is divvernet and the two people , one in front and one in back help the photo.
May be little turn on the right but I can not understand if the ground was horizontal or not,
Good sharpness and light. little blurred the fish in the foreground but I can smell the air!
Good work
ciao
Lucio

Ha. What an awesome character you've captured here - I bet she works hard, laughs big, and sets the rules!
Nice use of the lens to create a soft background without losing anything to too much bokeh.
Funny ... talk about 'food hygiene' ... my wife comes from the Philippines, where preparation is much the same. When she came to NZ she didn't get sick for the first two years - an immune system like solid lead. There's a lot to be said for gutting your fish on the ground. I think the phrase is "whatever doesn't kill you ..."

Find it hard to believe that this is a day too day situation. If we would see this down here, we would surely believe, that a film production is on...))) You truly capture the essence. That big women sitting on a yellow bucket, really demand attention. Well exposed, as always, nice colors and tones. A true fine shot...(once again..))) Nice work David¸and interesting picture.

David,
Now, this is a lady I want to know! She looks like she is a real character. The bright clothing, bracelet, etc... just draws my attention. You certainly have captured a moment that I don't see in the U.S. (Although a wooden table seen at fishing piers can't be really clean either) I can only imagine the stench from the heat and fish. Anyway, I like this woman and would like to know her. Bet she is full of life. After all, she's the only one with a "chair". :) Lisa

Hi David,
Again an excellent daily life impression well captured and presented. Your Dar es Salaam series gives a great idea about the living in this place. Focus on the woman is spot on and the picture is pin sharp. No cut humans observed, but now those poor fish are the victims....
Great posting David!

Smell and heat almost jumping from the screen. Nice catch (and I don´t mean the fish :o)
Nicely blurred background. Good daily life scene from a very different culture.

A really "reportage" shot, very impressive. I imagine the smell, but it is the life of a lot of people on this earth. Thanks to remember this to us.
Best regards

dear David,
a very vivid shot of the impressive woman and people there.
her presence is great,
and her colors and weight overwhelm my sensation.
of course fishes are significant food in Africa and Asia too.
thank you for your excellent shot.

Hello David,
a characterful study and intersting scene. I like the woman and the way she sits on the buckets as she does the gutting.I have just a smidgeon of fellow feeling with this method as I've gutted many a trout & salmon on our garden grass. :))

Hi David, Interesting to see this scene from Dar Es Salaam, it is an indication of how many tough and messy jobs exist around the wolrd. Well cropped tightly. TFS. Murray.
