Hi TL Friends,

Just like to say that I'm getting better from my accident.

This is another photo of the Sahara desert which I took from my hotel room. What a view, heh? (*_^)

These are caravans of tourists taking a camel walk in the desert. It was an experience which I had the luck to enjoy too. But more on that later. (*_^)

Enjoy!

Constantinos

Very nicely captured, but I do wish the group of people & camels were a little closer so we could see more details; actually maybe if you had cropped a bit at the bottom to eliminate some of the foreground it might have worked as well. Otherwise, nicely composed and good management of the light on the white sand. Well done!

An excellent shot has been taken with fine details and a bit soft contrast which is looking good for a desert scene. An interesting subject has been chosen. Well done my friend.

Wish you a swift recovery, get well soon.
Thanks for sharing a nice motif.

Hi Constantinos

A good daily life shot of the camels, with wonderful sharpness & repetition. Well managed harsh desert lighting. Tfs!

Hi Constantinos,
Glad to see you back on TL :) This is a very beautifully framed shot you got there! I love the colors and the clarity of the shot.

I'm so glad you are better Constantinos! I ride too and it's a constant fear! Anyhow, great photo! I imagine a person could get just as "hurt" on a camel! I hear they are mean! HAHAHA!
B-)

Not eactly nomads, but we won't tell... I have to agree with Suzanne about being a bit too far away. Still, a very pleasant image with a good sense of space!

The magic of the desert. Never been to the Sahara but knows the Namibian desert quite well. It has a magic you cannot describe to anyone. This is a lovely image. Reminds me of a watercolour painting.

Hi Constantinos,
This is a very nice view I like the lines of the desert with the colors and the haze in the background contrasting with that caravan with more brightfull colors. Well done.
I'm glad you are feeling better.
Cheers

Hi Constantine,

Another great desert shot from your expedition! You handled the light very well and your shot is crisp and detailed.
Well done!

Nice earthy tones and sharp detail. Composition is a little too centralised, but this is a really minor niggle!

So you're not running around the block yet Costos?? Or ready to ride camels yet either?
This is an interesting photo showing the camels and riders, and one walker! But I would prefer to see more space in the front of them and not so much on the left.
Still a scene we don't get to see very often, and well captured, TFS
Janice.

Laurance of Arabia for sure. A 10 master Constantinous! TFS

Hi Constantinos,
Nice desert picture with interesting deatils of the camel group. Lightin is perfect even like the mood of the whole image. One little comment onthe composition: the group is more on the right side of the picture, if possible I would have chosen to 'put' it at the left side of the middle, to show were they are going. Nevertheless excellent posting my friend!

A unique capture Constantinos. I might have left a bit more room on the right side but, either way, this is a pleasure to view.

Hi Constantinos,

Nice view, excellent shot.
I wonder if a crop from the bottom, maybe two inches, would stengthen the comp. A pano feel.

Mike

hi Constantinos,
first I'm glad that you are alright!
The photograph makes an interesting composition.. almost monochromatic.
The sandy atmosphere of the desert can be felt.
Framing is very decent too!

Is it that hard to ride a camel, I wonder, looking at the ws post ;o). Nice view you had there, Κώστα. The L-glass really flattened the image; compo-wise I like it, but I think the colours look a wee bit flat too...
Anyway, TFS.

This is a kind of shot that is very rarely seen. Beautiful soft colors mixing with the skies.
Excellent composition Constantinos.

Hi Cons, nice desert photo, well balanced and great colours. You do very well. And the image in the ws is just as nice. Funny to see the camels going to one direction and then, coming back.

Take care, Yan :)

Hi Con,
Reminds me of the movie Lawrence of Arabia. Very nice picture and composition. A happy new year to you and your wife.
Sunil

Hello Consta (this is the nickname I found for your too long name. I hope you don't mind ;)
I'll say like you: what a view! This is very impressive to see this scenery from a hotel room! But what a hotel is doing in there in the first place? This is really beautiful and very typical I guess of this place. I like details and colors here. As it for composition, I would have let more space in the right instead than in the left to let them more space to walk. This is well seen and well done. Thanks,
Claudine
PS, Nice picture in WS too

Well that's it, Tunisia is on my list of places to go. I've looked at most of the shots you took in Tunisia, and they look stunning- but this one is just so vast and just stands out so subtly. There's nothing really eye-catching about it, no bright colours or fancy buildings... it's just a bunch of folks walking through the desert on camels... while it's not eye catching, it definately isn't part of the Western norm. -And that right there, is why you got so much feedback on this image, everyone feeds on unique things. I like this because of the relaxed nature of the shot, the subtle/watered down colours... and just the amount of space that leaks into the image- very languid. I can smell the dust! :)

Thanks for this shot, it's truly beautiful.

Biance.

Awesome photo, had no idea they were tourists until I read your note..:o) REally like where you placed them in the photo and included the "mountains".. great shot. TFS
