[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
In february I visited Northern Uganda, with my team to do an evaluation field trip.
We visited this little girl. She was living in a small hut, together woth her seven brothers and sisters. The oldest one being 17, the youngest only 3. One brother was mentally disabled, the youngest was HIV positive. Both parents where killed by the rebels of Kony.

I wondered what chance of survival these kids would have here in the middle of nowhere......Probably none is what I thought......

Last week a colleague contacted me from Uganda, to tell me thesad news that rebels came and burned down their hut..........the kids have not been seen since.

Sexual slavery, child sacrifice, killing, it's all in the reaility of all day for more people in this world then we could possibly imagine.

'Mzungu , Habari' - 'Hello, white man' is all she said to me..
Photos like this now and then haunt me.

Hi Jan,

Toute la misère de ce pays dans les yeux , la figure et la tenue de ce garçon,
également dans cet arbre déraciné et cet animal probablement mort et ce mur décrépi
en arrière plan. Image très émouvante et très utile note.

Salutations,
Léonce.
