[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is one of a few decent shots I took on my short, 4-day XMas getaway down to the coast.

This is a shot of the beach at Harold's Bay, a lovely little beach town about 15 minutes from George, in the Garden Route of South Africa. This is the town where world famous golfer Ernie Els has a beach house!

I wanted to create a holiday, beach feel and thus got a few beach umbrellas and tents in the shot for a bit more colour.

PS - I took this shot with my new Powershot. Quite a powerful little machine!

That was a very short break. Hope you didn't have to drive all the way. It is a lovely area. I haven't been ther for a while. A very typical Decemeber in South Africa shot. Not too many people on the beach though.

reminds me of the South Coast (Natal) when I grew up - holidays at the sea where great, these days the beaches are crowded and unsafe... family of mine got held up at gun point from 12pm to 4am this December at Shelley beach

This is a lekka beach, I know that place.
Well done, great colours, and the waves are just right for surfing.
