No explanations needed! This picture shows the two elements that interact to create the problem. Sunlight and industrial gas pollutants.

I like the grainy gritty feel

Hello, Cecil!

Unfortunately, this is only one of the biggest problems of our world. Nice shot!! Surely, just looking at the photo, no explanations are needed. Congratulations for this creative and original idea! Good work!!

Regards,
Bruno

Very artistic post Cecil.

Hot composition for a very hot subject. Well thought and presented.

Hi Cecil
It's a well composed image especially with the smoke from the chimneys blowing to the right
I like how you have emphasised the layer of pollution around the sun and darkening as the smoke disappears stage right.
Well done
Janice

Great Shot!

The photos relates very well to the global warming issue. The big hot sun and the clouds of smoke and pollution rising from the industiral buildings. It's a great piece of commentay in my opinion.

I like the noisy look although I think the 'noise grains' (is it called that?) are a little too big. I think a bit more subtle but still easily noticeable would be better.

I also think the colour noise is a bit of a problem. I like the tones from bright yellow to dark red but in the shadows there seems to be a bit of colour noise that, to me, ruins the colours a little bit.

I tried a workshop. It's not a technique that I'm familiar with.
First I grey scaled the photo in Elements. I then added a Gradient Map adjustment layer and made gradient palet from black over red and orange to bright yellow. It removed the colour noise and is easily adjustable for fine tuning.
I hope you like it.

Keep it country bru!

Cheers,
Jens

Hello Cecil. Good image, I like the grain, it adds to the atmosphere of a serious image. Thanks for sharing.

Regards Phil.
