Sometimes moments like this are much more important then super quality pictures, you have to work with what your camera can handle.
How precious this moment is, look at the care the mum displays towards her baby - it is lovely, and .. brings back sweet memories of a glorious time spend in the northern part of South Africa.

I'm glad you posted the photos of the lions, maybe the quality wasnt perfect but all the shots are unique and un-repeatable :)

Hello Wia,

I have to agree with you about the context of this shot. It is motherly love at its most gentle, even in these large preators! This capture does not rely on superb image quality to deliver the message, and there can be no grumbles whatsoever about the composition.
I really do like it!
