it looks very good, Jako, maybe too much sky in the upper part, but it's a very beautiful moment captured, well done!

Good use of classic composition elements to present this sunset sky beautifully.
Very nice work!

this is a good sunset photo.. i like the inclusion of more sky and less ground..
i had been screwing the sunset shots lately, everytime i'd take a shot, i'd end up with a dark ground or a blown out sun..
as a remedy, i came to know that neutral density graduated (ND Grad) filters are excelent for such shots..
they have different values(strengths of the gradient) like 0.3, 0.45, 0.6, 0.75 etc..
square in shape (like the square cokin filters) once fitted onto the lens, the gradient area covers the sun and prevents it from being blown out while the 'clear' area leaves the ground to be exposed properly without being overly underexposed..
i am gonna try and get myself one of these.. as i am sure with these filters, one can end up with great and 'better controlled' sunset shots..
check out this link for more on graducated filters..

take care and have a great day

Hi hi,
So it's decided I will be saving up for the Nikon D80- just thought I'd let that by, I'm quite pleased that I've made a decision there! :)

Anyways, I've always liked this photo but never knew what to say on it. Don't really have anything to say now either... but I should just comment on it! I love the light shades in the sky and then the way they cast the water into that brownish/brassy colour. Lovely silhouettes line all around the water... looks fantastic, but anyone can say that. What I think is most appealing in this photo is the strange forms of the clouds... like splats of paint... beautiful image. TFS. Oh and by the way I think this image is perfect the way it is, the workshop distorts the colours and ruins that light touch- and I think the amount of space you gave the sky is... just right. :)
Biance.
