[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
Thought it's about time I posted something for once. I got this one earlier today in the local woods. The leaves on the ground gave a great autumn atmosphere. The 10-20mm lens worked well here, allowing me to get plenty of foreground detail as well as the trees in the distance.

PP- I exported two exposures from RawShooter an combined them in photoshop, and yet the back is still overexposed. Oh well. Then after I adjusted levels etc I inverted, added diffuse glow, and inverted again. That was supposed to give the dark dreamy feel. Then just so the photo didn't loose the feeling of autumn alltogether, I added the sepia tone.

Hope you like it,
Jako

Hello Jako,
Wonderful photo. I like it all, from the composition itself, to the tones, mood, POV, DOF and PP. Great work.
Best regards,
Valeria.

hello Jako. You could have cropped the upper part, just bellow the big white "spot", the main subject are leafs anyway.believe me,less is more:)
I like the feeling given here.

Hello Jako,

This is very autumny, I have to get me one of those lenses too I think...
Maybe this could have used a little more background and a bit less foreground.
I browsed through the rest of your galery... Very nice photo's you have !!!

BTW: My 350D also had a ten minute coma today, I took out the battery... Put it back in, No problem. Go figure...

Anyway TFS, this great autumn photo. Points well deserved

Hi Jako,
interesting photo! Indeed, the leaves on the ground gave a great autumn atmosphere. Sepia tone is a great idea. TFS

All the best,
Ioana

I think I agree with Sabina's suggestion of cropping the top to get rid of the over-exposed portion of the picture. I am not certain why you did not keep this one in colours as Autumn's colours are often quite amazing (at least, in my part of the world). I like your composition looking up and getting the leaves to be the star of your picture but I am not certain about the diffuse glow effect at the top as it seems to add a fuzziness that I am not certain I like. All of this to say that I am not certain your PP work is a total success this time but all points & appreciation go to the composition. Well done!

very cool wide angle shot jako :)
love the POV
very good b/w tones
