[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
While walking in the village this afternoon I saw this bench in the church grounds. After sitting down for a few minutes to rest my tired feet I realised that I was surrounded by 'rest places'.
Sitting on the bench you could get a physical rest while the church provides a spiritual resting environment. And then all around me were gravestones, some very old and other more recent, which serve as a reminder of the final resting place for all of us.

I tried to reflect the different moods in a single photo – that is why I ended up with the bench against a very dark background with the lighter areas to the left of the church show new life and vigour after the rest.

Hope you enjoy the photo and feel free to leave feedback even if you do not think the photo deserves any points.

Good looking picture, Andrei.
The bench is subleme lighted.

Hej Andrei,
as in your other pictures another fine motif - it seems to me that you have an eye for finding the perfect point of view. Even the clock in the background adds something to it...
Although I am not an expert it might be worthwhile to consider the "depth of field" (DOF) concept and try to recapture the whole scene again, if possible...
Thanks for sharing and all the best,
martin

Hi Andrei!!

I like the mood of this B&W picture. Itīs composition makes me go around times and times over the different areas of density, and, finaly, always winding up into the bright bench. Excellent tonal range!

Very moody and meaningful. Is it really antartica? I thought that was only snow?
