History
Kirby Hall is one of England's greatest Elizabethan and 17th-century houses. Begun by Sir Humphrey Stafford in about 1570.
Although this vast mansion is partly roofless, most of its walls survive to their full impressive height: so does the stupendous three-tier inner porch, begun following French pattern books and later further embellished in the Classical style by the sculptor Nicholas Stone.
For those of you who would like to visit:-
Access:
Access to hall: Via impacted gravel path from main gate. Whole ground floor easily accessible to wheelchair users. Great West Staircase is suitable for most ambulant disabled visitors. Chairs available in some rooms.
Gardens: All accessible via impacted gravel paths and smooth grass. Alternative entrance from forecourt to gain entry to garden.

Slight adjustment on brightness of walls. Gravel was overexposed and I used a second darker layer for this. Then sharpened and frame added. No cropping.

Hope you enjoy the photo as much as I enjoyed the day out at this great site.

Hi Andrei,
I love this perspective and the light and shadow. A romantic place, I like it, thanks

Nice architecture. I like the wall texture and the repeating arches. The light and shadows creates interesting colour contrast.

Hi Andrei excellent image loves the colour good view tfs bye Shimon

Hi Andrei! I love the architecture. You captured it in a very artistic manner, your POV is good. I like the tones and shades. A little bit zoomed out and a bit to the right would be perfect for me. TFSTP
Freddie :)

Andrei,
I like the depth you have presented here with the arches at a bit of an angle. I think there is some overexposure but nothing damaging to the photo. I would like to see maybe 1/500th of a second exposure and see how it would look. Nicely composed and presented with good notes.
Well done,
Scott
