[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Very early in the morning, we entered Errera Channel, between Rongé Island and the Arctowski Peninsula on the mainland.
Saw a whale far from the boat and did not have the bigger lens with me.
Although focus and sharpness are not the great here, the moment was magic and this is enough reason to post the photo.
The pink colour on the ice is due to algae

PP work was cropping, curve adjustment and decrease blue colour intensity

Muito cedo pela manhã, entramos no canal Errera, entre a Ilha Rongé e a península de Arctowski, no continente.
Vi uma baleia longe do barco e não tinha a tele comigo. A escolha foi descer para pegar a tele e arriscar a perder a baleia, ou usar a lente menor que tinha comigo.
Mesmo que o foco não tenha ficado dos melhores, o momento foi mágico e acredito ser razão suficiente para postar a foto aqui.
A cor rosa no gelo é devido a uma alga.

PP foi um corte para deixar panorâmica e dar mais ênfase a baleia, ajuste de curva e diminuição da intensidade da cor azul.

Your comment about the focus is correct but the shot has a beautiful contrast between the fluke and the icy land! Great feeling of space and wildness in the picture.

Yes, a real pity on the focus... The scene, the moment is really great, but the best is that you had the oppportunity to see it "live". TFS, Marta

Até achei que ficou melhor assim do que com o foco mais próximo - coloca a baleia no contexto - o espaço ao redor é muito bonito. Com um zoom maior seria só o rabo da baleia - assim achei mais interessante.
