[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi all,
Well tonight I was torn between uploading two pictures. Neither are particularly new. On the one hand there's this one, the quality of which I could be happier with. On the other hand there was one of a war memorial, and it's not my style of photography AT ALL. So in the end I went for this one.

I liked the font in the frame when I made it, but now I'm no longer too sure.

What I really like about this shot is how the lights lead to the city on the horizon. This shot was taken from a bridge over the dual carriageway to get the viewpoint.

PP- Did some rotation on this one. Even though it was level when taken, the horizon slopes slightly, making it look a bit odd. I think I cropped a little on the left too. I'm sure I also adjusted levels at some point. Besides that, just USM and framing.

Hope you like it,
Jako

nice! love the speed of lights!

Classic. I like it.

But may I ask, what else is there that the picture can say that others can't? I am not trying to put you up into anything, but just as a challenge.

Yet, I can say the definition and sharpness of the edges of the road and the lights on the background are completely breathtaking. The lights (fast-moving vehicles) are clearly a great take.

Hi Jako,
Great night shot. Simply classic. Well done.
Sunil

I always love these kind of shots. Nice location to do this with the slight curve in the road.

The angles! The lines! You've hit us again with another excellent photo Jako! Great with the lines of light going to the bottom right corner and I like the black darkness of the negative space. There's balance with the row of street lights in the upper half too. Good frame, TFS!

Great night shot Jako! and I really like the font you used for the caption (although I'm not all that keen on captions)...

Jako

I like it. I agree with you in that I like how the lights curve toward the city. The shot is nice and crisp and very well done.

Excelente composición y magnifica ejecución de la técnica de larga exposición.
Felicitaciones Jako.
Saludos.

Jako,
You seem to have the long exposures down to a science. I like this one, it shows motion and some cool looking light patterns. I think the font is okay, this type of font could be bigger but you wouldn't want to take up too much more of your available pixels. For a poster this would be great! Nice work my friend,
Scott

Great diagonal. Very sharp. Cool!

Cheers!

Ben.

Hi Jako,
A wonderful photo. The limited lights really make this beautiful. I love the way the car light take me on a ride to the city. Great work on the exposure.
TFS,
Niek

Great picture! As a very very much beginner I hope to be able to shoot a picture like this one day..

TFS,
J.
