Away from the sun

Hi all,
First off, this photo has no processing appart from slight USM, but I don't really count that as it would have been done in'camera if I shot Jpeg anyway.
This was shot in the same place just before my "just be free" shot. We've been having a bit of rain at the time, so the water you see here are flooded fields. I liked the layered effect from the bits of field sticking through the water.
I hope you will excuse me for not being able to focus looking directly into the sun. I could see the foreground OK in the viewfinder, but not the brighter background, so I just focussed on that, used a small aperture and hoped for the best. Since then I've actually come to really like the sharp foreground and blurred background. Let me know if you disagree though.
Oh yeah it was on ISO 200
Hope you like it,
Jako |

Hi Jako no point for this? I would be the first then. Lovely sun photo - good angle and very well framed with text. Foreground and blurred background are ok. You deserve more point for this. Good job
I post one long time ago look like yours here take a lookSun Photo

very nice mood captured jako :)
i like the lines and ripples on the water
cool reflections of the sun :)
I like the composition and the colours are great but the blurred background and sharp foreground almost make it look like two pictures which have been stitched together. The foreground is a complete picture in its own right and would look just as effective. Just my two penneth worth
Thanks for sharing
Mark
Jako,
this is excellent.
I like the shimmering water surface. It adds great charm and character.
Lovely silhouette forms and exposure control.
Best regards,
Daniel.

Hi Jako,
very very good picture and also aspect of Antarctica!!! Never seen it like this. I reagret it's not sharp from front to back, maybe use hyperfocal technique next time. Like it though!!
